AGARTALA: Indian cricketer Mayank Agarwal was rushed to hospital after his health deteriorated while on a flight. The current Karnataka skipper endured throat pain and vomited after he boarded a flight which was bound for Rajkot. The cabin crew were alerted after the cricketer looked wearied, so the flight was made to return to Agartala. Mayanak was rushed to ILS Hospital in Agartala where he is currently in ICU.

Shavir Tarapore, joint secretary of the Karnataka State Cricket Association, said that it was nothing but a normal illness that was affecting Mayank's health. However, more details are awaited. Agarwal suffered physical problems after boarding a flight from Agartala to Rajkot via Delhi along with his teammates.

The Karnataka team left for Rajkot after winning against Tripura by 29 runs. Agarwal scored 51 runs in the match. Mayank Agarwal will not play in the next match against Saurashtra. The 33-year-old Agarwal has played 21 Test matches for India. Tarapore said that two representatives have been sent to Agartala to inquire about the star's health.
