Vijay has different plan after launching party; Kamal Haasan's calculations may also happen

CHENNAI: It is hinted that actor Vijay will form a third front as soon as the new party is floated. The parties against DMK and ADMK are looking forward to Vijay's political career. Kamal Haasan's Makkal Needhi Maiam dreaming of Coimbatore seat in the Lok Sabha elections, are in the forefront for an alliance with Vijay.

If Vijay doesn't form his party before the elections, Kamal Haasan is expecting his open support. Kamal, who has a close relationship with Rahul Gandhi had participated in the Bharat Jodo Yatra. He also campaigned for the Congress candidate in the Erode by-election. Congress is with the DMK. There are differences of opinion between the DMK and Congress leaders in the state over division of seats. In this situation, there is little chance of DMK giving seat to Kamal, having support of the Congress.

In Coimbatore, the influence of DMK is less. Kamal believes that he can win if he gets the support of Vijay and the Congress. If there is a situation where the Congress has to abandon the DMK alliance, then may approach Vijay.

Vijay was all set to join the Congress during the UPA government. This move was when the then DMK government in Tamil Nadu got hold of the film industry. Later, when ADMK came to power, the situation in the film industry changed. Vijay shelved politics and became active in cinema. The BJP later abandoned its alliance with ADMK but chances of an alliance with Vijay are slim. Vijay also has a history of receiving criticism from the BJP for his anti-central stance.

It is hinted that the new party will be named Tamizhaga Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (TMMK).

It is suggested that the new party will be named Tamizhaga Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (TMMK). Vijay is set to enter politics raising the ideas of Ambedkar, Periyar, Kamaraj, etc. He will mainly target backward, dalit and minority votes.
