Actor Bheeman Raghu has invited torrents of controversy after his celebrated reentry into politics with CPM. However now, things have reached the nadir as Raghu used invective of the lowest standard while delivering a dialogue from the yesteryear superhit movie Narasimham, at an event he recently attended.
The dialogue which begins with “Palakkad Victoria collage...." went out of control from Raghu who added an explicit word which was not included in the movie. The video of this went viral on the internet, and Raghu can be seen begging for pardon from the crowd right after he made the inappropriate remark. The crowd were seen embarrassed while some on stage laughed it off as a trivial matter.
Meanwhile, Raghu came with another apology and said it was at the spur of the moment that he added the expletive, which he said was uncalled for. Bheeman Raghu said he would apologize to anyone who may have got hurt by his antics and told people to move on from this.
The issue was never taken up for discussion albeit Raghu now being a star face of CPM. This incensed some sections on social media as they asked everyone to imagine what would have happened if the same gaffe happened to someone like Suresh Gopi or Unni Mukundan.
“Imagine if it was Suresh Gopi. The reaction would be such that CPM and congress will conduct a protest in Delhi asking for PM Modi to resign” one comment said.
As of now, Bheeman Raghu’s faux pas is downplayed by the media as the actor has tendered his apology.
