Two-year-old dies of snakebite in Malappuram

MALAPPURAM: A two-year-old boy who was undergoing treatment for snakebite, has died. The incident happened at Kondotty Pulikkal in Malappuram. The dead is Muhammed Ummer, son of Suhail of Thootha in Perinthalmanna and Jamshia. The snake bit him yesterday while he was playing in front of his house.

The incident happened at his mother’s house at Pulikkal in Kondotty. The family suspected a snakebite when the child was seen crying. Seeing some marks of snakebite, they immediately rushed him to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital. However, his death was confirmed by night.

The body presently in the mortuary of the hospital will be handed over to his family after post-mortem.
