Big B and Jaya Bachchan own assets worth Rs 1578 crore including cars, jewellery and bank balance

MUMBAI: Jaya Bachchan filed her nomination papers for her fifth Rajya Sabha term, after Samajwadi Party re-nominated her as their candidate from Uttar Pradesh. She declared her assets worth Rs 1,578 crore along with her husband Amitabh Bachchan.

According to her affidavit, the net worth of Jaya Bachchan alone for the financial year 2022-23 is around 1,63,56,190 and that of Amitabh Bachchan is 273,74,96,590. Jaya Bachchan filed her nomination papers on Tuesday. Jaya Bachchan has been working as a member of SP since 2004. The combined movable property of Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan is worth Rs 849.11 crore.

Apart from this, there are immovable properties worth Rs 729.77 crore. Jaya Bachchan's bank balance is Rs 10,11,33,172 and Amitabh Bachchan's is Rs 120,45,62,083. Jaya's has jewelry worth Rs 40.97 crore and vehicles worth Rs 9.82 lakh. Amitabh Bachchan has jewelry worth Rs 54.77 crore and 16 vehicles including two Mercedes and a Range Rover. Bachchan owns vehicles worth Rs 17.66 crore.

The couple’s joint assets include property acquired through various sources. Jaya Bachchan has earned wealth from endorsements, MP salary and professional fees. Whereas Amitabh Bachchan earned income from interest, rent, dividends, capital gains and income from solar plant.
