14-year-old's behavior changed after prayer convention; counselling revealed shocking information; accused arrested

IDUKKI: A 44-year-old native of Tamil Nadu was arrested in the case of molesting a 14-year-old boy who had come to a prayer convention. Sebastian, a native of Dindigul, was arrested by the police. The accused subjected the child to unnatural sexual abuse at a prayer convention held in Munnar.

The incident related to the case took place last April. Sebastian had come as a helper in the prayer convention held in Munnar. Participants of the prayers which lasted till evening were mostly children. It was here that Sebastian harassed the 14-year-old boy who is a native of Rajakkad. After the abuse, the child's behaviour changed. The boy had been terrified of everything for months. The child was then subjected to counselling. That's when the harassment information came out. The parents filed a complaint with the police and during the police investigation, Sebastian was arrested from Thoothukudi. The accused has been produced in Devikulam court and remanded.
