'When father died, I thought, what will my mother do next', Prithviraj becomes emotional

50th anniversary of Mallika Sukumaran's film career was celebrated in Thiruvananthapuram yesterday. Industries Minister P Rajeev inaugurated the 'Mallika Vasantham@50' event at Apollo Dimora. GR Anil, Minister of Food and Civil Supplies, presided over the function. Her sons Indrajith and Prithviraj were present at the event. Prithviraj's speech at the event is now going viral on social media.

‘I thought that I would not be able to attend the ceremony as I had to go to the US for a shoot. However, the visa has not yet arrived. I doubt mother called Joe Biden and informed him,’ Prithvi said jokingly. He said that no actor in the world has produced, acted and directed a film starring his mother.

‘My father died and we were coming to Thiruvananthapuram from Ernakulam. Mom was in the car. My brother and I were in the ambulance. I was thinking, what will my mother do next? The answer to that is Indrajith and Prithviraj who are now in front of you,’ said Prithvi. Mallika Sukumaran, who was in the audience heard these words with tears in her eyes.
