NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi revisited the epic story of Krishna and Sudhama on Monday to implicitly attack the recent supreme court decision on electoral bonds.

“If Sudhama had given aval today to Lord Krishna, in no time a PIL would reach court along with a video evidence construing it as Krishnan took bride from Sudhama” PM Modi was speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Kalki Dham temple in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal district.

Modi's reaction came after Acharya Pramod Krishnan, chairman of Sri Kalki Dham Nirmanka Trust and a former congress leader, said that he had nothing to offer to the Prime Minister except his good wishes.

“Pramod Ji, it is best that you have nothing to give me.” Later, PM Modi took jibe at the court by telling the excerpt from the epic Mahabharata. He said Krishna's acceptance of the aval would have been judged as corruption. “That is how today’s world works” said PM Modi.

Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnan was subjected to party action for inviting Narendra Modi to the function at the temple. Acharya Pramod had earlier criticized the Congress boycott of the Ram Temple dedication ceremony.
