16-year-old boy stabbed by father for questioning him for beating mother; incident in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 16-year-old boy sustained a serious injury after his drunken father stabbed him following an altercation. The incident took place in Venjarammoodu, Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday night. The police have arrested Perumala native Suresh Babu in the incident.

The issues started after a drunk Babu beat his wife on Tuesday night. The 16-year-old son, who saw his mother being beaten, questioned this and stopped the father. When his son intervened, Suresh got angry and stabbed him with the knife in his hand.

The injured son sought treatment at the hospital and lodged a complaint at the Venjarammoodu police station the next day. The police registered the case and arrested Suresh Babu.
