'Dead body found in naked state'; Eyewitness alleges serious mystery in minor girl's death

KONDOTTY: One eyewitness alleged serious mystery in the drowning of an 11th-class student who was found dead in Chaliyar River, Edavannapara. According to the eyewitness who was also the victim's neighbour, the victim’s body was found naked when it surfaced on the Chaliyar River.

According to the allegation, the girl’s body was found lying in knee-deep water. If it was suicide, then the body might have taken more time to surface on the water. Karate teacher Siddique Ali was arrested earlier by Vazhakkad police in connection with the girl's death. The girl went missing from her home last Tuesday at 6 pm. The dead body was found lying in a shallow part of the Chaliyar river around 8 pm.

The girl was a class 11 student in a school near Kozhikode Medical College. For more than three years, the girl was under the training of Siddique in karate. However, it was recently that the girl revealed to her teachers the sexual torture she faced from her Karate master. The school authorities then informed the child welfare authorities in Kozhikode.

The complaint was later handed over to the Vazhakkad police. The statement was adjourned as the girl was not in a condition to speak. Siddique is formerly accused in two POCSO cases.
