Installs hidden camera in washroom, accused on the run held

THIRUVALLA: A youth has been arrested on the complaint of installing a hidden camera in the washroom. The arrested is Prinu (30) of Muthoor Lakshmi Sadanam in Thiruvalla. The suspect placed the pen camera in the washroom of a nearby house. He is an electrician as well as a plumber.

A complaint was lodged against him for placing the camera in the washroom of his neighbor’s house on December 16. His plan was to keep the camera when women enter the bathroom and take it away when they leave. However, when the girl of the house entered the bathroom, the pen camera placed in the air hole of the washroom, fell on the ground.

The girl picked it up but as she could not understand what it was showed it to her family. They found a camera and a memory card inside the pen when examined it. When examined the memory card, it became clear that the visuals have been captured. When Prinu learned that the camera was found and the police had registered a case, he went into hiding. The absconding accused was nabbed from the residence of his relative vigilance officer.
