'Used breast pad but said no to boob job'; Sameera Reddy reveals 'crazy phase' of film industry

Sameera Reddy, who gained popular acclaim through the 2008 super hit ‘Vaaranam Aayiram’ is currently on a hiatus from the silver screen. The actress has made up for her absence from films by being super active on Instagram and other social media platforms. Sameera exhumes positivity in social media space, gives her two cents on how to get back in shape, and also shares glimpses from her motherhood.

Sameera who now goes by the sobriquet ‘messy mamma’ on Instagram has shared some ordeal that she had to face during her stint in the film industry.

“I faced egregious body shaming comments from the film industry due to my slender shape almost 10 years back. People asked me to put on weight while some also tabled the idea of enlarging my breast size. Ten years ago the situation was crazy. Everyone used to have plastic surgery. They used to do a boob job and nose job, meanwhile, I always had to use a breast pad. When people suggested I get surgery, it was a dilemma for me and I didn’t know what to do.

But now when looking back, I feel relieved that I never said yes to them. Many actors have done it and maybe they are comfortable and have got the pleasure from it. All I have to say is live, let live. Those were times when you need to have this surgery done to appear stylish on screen.” Sameera revealed in her latest interview with a Tamil channel.
