KOZHIKODE: In yet another incident of campus torture, reports emerged that a second-year student of R Sankar SNDP College Kozhikode was brutally beaten up by more than 25 SFI workers inside the campus premises. CR Amal, the second-year student received serious injuries on his head and face and alleged the feud as a result of continuous ragging inside the college.

According to the complaint, the incident took place last Friday. Amal alleged that it was under the leadership of the SFI union that the attack was carried out. Amal who was accompanied by two of his friends was stopped by seniors in front of the college. After making the two friends flee from the spot, the seniors detained Amal and beat him up badly.

Amal was severely injured and suffered a fractured nose. Ironically, it was the same SFI workers who helped Amal reach the hospital. The SFI students deceived the hospital authorities saying that Amal was injured in a bike accident. Upon reaching his house, Amal revealed the ghastly torture story to his parents. The college authorities informed that they received a complaint about the incident on Saturday and will investigate the matter.

Meanwhile, the SFI union in the college denied the allegation raised by Amal, saying they had a bitter verbal altercation but not any physical torture.
