NEW DELHI: Bhopal MP Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur has reacted to BJP's decision not to let her contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Earlier I used some words that Modi ji did not like. She said that Modi told her that he would never forgive her and that may be the reason for not giving the seat.

‘I have never asked for a seat before. Still not asking. Prime Minister did not like some statements I made. He has also said that he will not forgive me. But I apologized to him. I don't intend to leave BJP. I will undertake and fulfil whatever responsibility the party assigns to me’ - Pragya Singh Thakur told a national media.

The names of 33 sitting MPs, including Pragya Singh Thakur, were in the list of 195 candidates released by the BJP yesterday. After this, Pragya came forward with the response. The party has decided to field former mayor Alok Sharma from Bhopal instead of Pragya, who is also an accused in the Malegaon blast case.

Modi's speech against Pragya's remarks against Mahatma Gandhi in 2019 gained attention. Pragya also called Nathuram Godse a 'true patriot'. Prime Minister then responded that he would never forgive Sadhvi Pragya for insulting Mahatma Gandhi.
