'What's Wrong With India?': Indian X users take foreign accounts to task for humiliating country

Indians have been long subjected to ridicule by Westerners for their purported soggy dressing, lack of discipline, unhygienic eating habits, skin colour, recurring train accidents, crowded local trains and more. Some among the westerners have made it a habit to taunt Indians calling them ‘smelly’. These below-the-belt comments are now being repaid in style by Netizens on the Internet which has taken Westerners by surprise.

On Monday, the hashtag 'What is wrong with India? ' started trending on X after someone posted an appalling incident which took place in the country. The trend soon gained pace and more people started sharing their bits on India and soon this morphed into humiliation.

Indian X users retorted in style and made the most of the trending hashtag scoffing the Western standards and nitpicking appalling incidents that have happened on Western soil.

Some users posted videos of vagabonds urinating inside the NYC metro while other videos showed a scuffle between passengers inside the metro in the US. One Indian user pointed out the garbage that was seen piled in the busy streets of New York and thereby gave the Westerns taste of their own medicine.

In another hilarious video, a man was seen taking a bath inside a metro in the US which the Indian user captioned as ‘truly a third world country’.

As the trend showed no signs of slowing down, even the Indian government entered the fray with the ‘MyGovIndia’ account that posted clippings of achievements of the Indian government that included successfully landing on the moon's south pole region, adulation from IMF and the ongoing craving to earn a spot in the list of the top most economic powers in the world.

The trend which started as a tool against India soon boomeranged, much to the chagrin of the Westerners.
