Regional holiday for educational institutions and government offices on April 5; not applicable to public examinations scheduled earlier

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The District Collector has declared a regional holiday in Thiruvananthapuram district on April 5. The Collector announced the holiday on the occasion of the Maholsavam at Sree Panimoola Devi Temple in Pothencode.

District Collector Geromic George announced a holiday for all government offices and educational institutions in Pothencode, Andoorkonam, Vembayam, Manikkal, Mangalapuram gram panchayats and the areas which were part of the old Kazhakootam and Sreekariyam gram panchayats and is now a part of Thiruvananthapuram Corporation. The Collector's office said that the holiday will not be applicable for the public examinations scheduled earlier.
