LDF, UDF candidates participate in Iftar party organized by SDPI, BJP raises criticism

KOZHIKODE: BJP said that LDF and UDF candidates participated in the Iftar party organized by SDPI to target votes. The BJP criticized the participation of LDF candidate Elamaram Karim and UDF candidate MK Raghavan in the Kozhikode Lok Sabha constituency by sharing a photo of the same.

BJP alleges that the objective of the fronts is to trade votes with extremist movements. "The CPM activists were the ones created a big scene when Christian priests attended the Christmas dinner called by the Prime Minister," BJP state president Surendran said.

"Their candidate and intellectual attended the Iftar function of the SDPI, the political face of the now-banned terror outfit Popular Front. There is no need to specify where all the important documents in Abhimanyu's case have gone," Surendran wrote on Facebook.
