DYFI leader's murder: Court hands double lifer to six BJP workers

ANTHIKAD: Six BJP workers were sentenced to double life imprisonment with a fine of four lakh rupees each, in the murder of DYFI cadre Adarsh ​​(25), who was a native of Peringottukara.

Nijil alias Kunjapu (27), Prajil (28), Hirat alias Manu (27), Shanil (27), Shihab (30), and Brashnov (32) are the BJP workers found guilty by the court. Thrissur 1st Additional Sessions Judge K.V. Salih pronounced the judgment. Failure to pay the fine will result in an additional four years of imprisonment.

The murder took place on July 2, 2020, at 10 am at Anthony Mukku in Kuttikad. Adarsh ​​was killed by the accused who came in the car with deadly weapons. In the case, 28 mainour and 109 documents were presented by the prosecution while 46 witnesses were examined. District Public Prosecutor K.B. Sunilkumar, and public prosecutors Liji Madhu, and K.P. Ajay Kumar appeared for the prosecution.
