KOCHI: Kerala Blasters have made the playoffs for the third consecutive season in Indian Super League football. KBFC qualified after Odisha FC defeated Punjab FC by three goals to one and reached the playoffs.

Blasters are currently fifth in the points table with 30 points in 19 matches including nine wins, three draws and seven losses.

Odisha won thanks to Diego Mauricio's double. Madih Talal.(38) scored the consolation goal for Punjab. Even if they win all the remaining group matches, Punjab can get only 27 points.

Earlier, Mumbai City FC, Mohun Bagan Super Giants, Odisha and FC Goa had confirmed the playoffs. With Blasters securing the fifth position, one more spot is left. The top two teams will enter the semi-finals directly.

Currently, Mumbai and Odisha are on the first and second positions. The other teams will compete for the remaining two spots.

Kerala Blasters' next match is against East Bengal at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi.
