TTE Vinod was verbally abused and kicked by accused; co-passengers with statements of incident

THRISSUR: The passengers of the train said that the accused verbally abused the TTE when he asked for his ticket and he kicked the TTE when he called the police. TTE called the police when it became clear that the accused was drunk. The accused understood what TTE told the police in Malayalam. He immediately got up from his seat and went to TTE. He was unexpectedly pushed out the door.

TTE came to check the tickets when the train reached Thrissur. All passengers showed the ticket but the accused did not have a ticket. When TTE asked him to pay a fine of Rs.1000, the accused refused to do so. Passengers also said that the accused verbally abused TTE's family members in Hindi.

Dismissed from bar hotel

Accused Rajnikantha was working at Bar Hotel in Kunnamkulam for more than two months. He was doing cleaning work there. The bar hotel owner said he was immediately fired after he came to work drunk on Tuesday with another friend from Odisha. He had been drinking heavily for two days before that. Nothing about his criminal background was known. The owner said that he was shocked when he came to know that TTE was pushed and killed.
