Mumbai native woman arrested for attempting to enter Kerala with LSD stamps

KALPETTA: Police have arrested a woman who tried to enter Kerala with LSD stamps. The arrested person has been identified as Mumbai Vasant Garden native Suniva Surendra Rawat (34). The accused was arrested by the Sultan Bathery police and the Wayanad Anti-Narcotics Squad at the Muthanga Police Check Post.

Several LSD stamps were seized from the accused. The woman was arrested during the vehicle inspection carried out near the police outpost in Thakarappadi on Monday. Suniva was coming to Bathery from Mysore side by car.

Meanwhile, attempts are being made to smuggle drugs into the state in various ways. Recently, several people were arrested in Kochi for carrying out drug deals worth crores through the darknet. The Narcotics Control Bureau arrested seven people in connection with the incident. It was the investigation focused on a parcel that came from Germany that paved the way for the massive drug hunt.

The arrested people were Aluva Chengamanadu native Sharath Parakkal, Abin Babu, Sharun Shaji, KP Ambadi, CR Akshay, Ananthakrishnan and Antony Sanjay.
