Summer rains to continue in Kerala for next five days, fishing banned

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that summer rains will continue in the state and rain with thunder and lightning is likely in the next three hours. As per the warning, there is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder and lightning at isolated places in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts and light rain in other districts.

The Meteorological Department also informed that there will be rain in various districts of the state for the next five days. There is a warning of light to moderate rainfall in all the districts today.

14-04-2024 : Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Thrissur, Ernakulam

15-04-2024 : Thiruvananthapuram, Alappuzha, Thrissur, Ernakulam

16-04-2024 : Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Kozhikode, Wayanad

17-04-2024 : Kottayam, Ernakulam, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, Kasaragod

The IMD has advised to avoid fishing on the Kerala-Lakshadweep coasts and said there is no restriction on fishing on the Karnataka coast.
