WAYANAD: UDF candidate Rahul Gandhi has arrived in Wayanad for electioneering. Rahul's first road show has started in Sultan Bathery. The rally is being held with only posters and without flags. Thousands of people including Congress workers are attending the rally.

Rahul arrived in a helicopter at the Nilgiri Sports and Science College ground in Tamil Nadu near Wayanad around 10 this morning. The flying squad officials of the election commission who were waiting here checked the helicopter. Only after the inspection, Rahul proceeded to Sultan Bathery.

Rahul will attend six programmes in Wayanad today. Apart from Bathery, the road show will also be held at Mananthavady, Vellamunda and Padinjarathara. He will speak at the farmer's meeting in Pulpally. In the afternoon, a meeting will be held with the Bishop of Mananthavady. It is also reported that he will attend in the UDF rally in Kozhikode this evening.

The road show is conducted in the car that reached Bathery. Although an open vehicle was arranged for him, he decided to hold the show in the car itself. Bathery MLA K C Balakrishnan is also accompanying Rahul for the road show.
