THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday retaliated back at PM Modi’s remark of Kerala being the haven of corruption in India. CM Pinarayi Vijayan said it was the frustration of not getting a seat from Kerala that is making PM Modi humiliate Kerala.

CM also termed both Rahul Gandhi and PM Modi as ‘two sides of the same coin’ when making disparaging remarks about Kerala. The criticism from the chief minister came while attending a press conference on Sunday.

CM Pinarayi Vijayan:

PM Narendra Modi insulted both Kerala and Bihar. Kerala is the least corrupt state in India. Is the PM’s remark on Kerala supported by any authentic data? All these statements come from the frustration of learning about the dismal performance awaiting the BJP in Kerala. The prime minister did not even care to follow the constitutional norms before making such comments.

In all the advertisements of BJP, Kerala is shown in a bad light. The central government is mocking the financial condition of Kerala while restricting the money the state deserves. This is the glaring irony.

Rahul Gandhi on the other hand is also following a similar stance with Kerala. He is the so-called leader who went into oblivion at a time when his party needed him most. So he is still incapable of leading the country. Rahul is contesting in Wayanad for the second time after fleeing from North India. However, the core focus of the election should be to defeat the BJP.
