THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC president K Sudhakaran has responded to LDF convener EP Jayarajan's statement that he had met BJP prabhari Prakash Javadekar at his son's flat in Thiruvananthapuram. Speaking to the journalists, Sudhakaran asked if EP Jayarajan had no connections with Javadekar, then why did he invite such a person for tea at his house.
"Was Jayarajan running a tea shop? He should clarify his statement. I don't want to simply blame him. I only revealed the truth that I came to know. The information that I received is sincere. I don't have any issue even if he takes legal action. I am not the one remaining bedridden because of not taking medicines. I have no illness or medicine. The Chief Minister would be right in saying that Jayarajan should exercise caution while choosing friends. In fact, this is the reason behind the dispute between them. This enmity might be the reason why Jayarajan wanted to leave the party," Sudhakaran said.
"Jayarajan has a complaint that the party did not consider him in various matters. He had raised this complaint even in the party forum. However, no solution has been found to this problem till now. Therefore, Jayarajan has indelible revenge in his mind. This is the reason behind these problems. I will stick to the allegations against him," he said.
"I don't have any problem if Jayarajan leaves or remains in the party. The Congress has nothing to do with his political future. But it has the freedom to speak about it. There is no point in hiding the fact that several leaders have left the CPM and the CPI and joined the BJP," he said.
"A section within the party had attempted to keep Jayarajan silent. That is why Jayarajan stays away from other matters in the party. Nandakumar is not my political leader. Is Jayarajan's house a tea shop for Javadekar to have tea there? If EP has no connection with Javadekar, then why did he invite such a person to his house?" he asked.
