Bleeding from nose and mouth; Police confirm Anila's death as murder

KANNUR: The incident where a missing woman was found dead in Payyannur at a family's house that went on an excursion, is a case of murder, the police said. Anila, a native of Koipra was found dead in the house of retired soldier Jitty Joseph from Annur Koravayal. The post-mortem revealed that the woman's neck had been strangled.

Anila's body was bleeding from her nose and mouth. According to the report, this is due to a beating. The preliminary conclusion is that Sudarshan, her friend, may have committed suicide after killing the young woman. Police say that both were friends. Sudarshan worked as a tapping worker. Jitty and his family used to go on tours after assigning Sudarshan to look after the house.

After hearing the news of Sudarshan's death, Jitty called his friend and asked him to visit his house in Annur. When the friend went and opened the window, he saw Anila's body lying on the ground. The woman's brother and family have come forward accusing her death of being a murder.
