hospital

KOZHIKODE: An order has been issued for a re-investigation in the complaint against Dr Preethi, who recorded the statement, in the ICU sexual abuse case. North Region IG K Sethuraman directed Narcotics Cell ACP T P Jacob to investigate the incident and submit a report within a week. It is reported that her statement will be regisered on May 9.

The survivor in her complaint said that Dr K V Preethi had not fully recorded her statement in the sexual abuse case. A re-investigation is based on this complaint. The survivor in her complaint to the police alleged that in the statement registered by Dr Preethi, many of the things she said were not accurately recorded, scientific evidence was not collected and the case was being tried to be sabotaged.

The investigation report given to the commissioner by ACP K Sudarshan of the medical college, was that there was no truth in the complaint. A copy of this was requested under the Right to Information Act but after it was not provided, a protest was staged. After this, the North Region IG Commissioner was instructed to submit the report requested by the survivor. A copy of the investigation report conducted by the ACP on the complaint against the doctor was directed to be given to the survivor. Following that, she ended her protests.
