KOZHIKODE: In a shocking incident, an engineering student was killed after a motorbike rammed into a house at high speed. The deceased has been identified as Ernakulam native Anuroop (21), a third-year Applied Electronics student of West Hill Government Engineering College. The accident took place in Bilathikkulam in the wee hours of Friday. Anuroop died on the spot.
The accident took place while Anuroop and his friends were travelling to the railway station on two bikes. Kottayam Thalayolaparambu native Ijas Iqbal (22), who was on the bike with Anuroop, sustained serious injuries. The grill and window panes in front of the house were broken in the accident.
Some days ago, two bike passengers were injured after a bike went out of control and overturned in Changaramkulam in Malappuram. Edappal native Sreerag and Changaramkulam native Anas suffered injuries. The accident took place on the Changaramkulam-Chiravalloor road at around 4.30 pm on Tuesday. The Pulsar bike, on which the two were travelling, went out of control and fell into the drain. The two were seriously injured and admitted to a private hospital in Changaramkulam.
