Bomb attack on RMP leader Hariharan's house; assailants throw explosive device after reaching on scooter

KOZHIKODE: Attack on RMP leader KS Hariharan's house. A group on a scooter hurled explosives at Hariharan's house. A major accident was avoided as the explosive device hit the surrounding wall of the house and exploded. The incident happened at 8:15 tonight. Hariharan stated that a group was seen around the house since morning. He revealed that the remains of the explosive device were later removed by the same group.

DYFI had lodged a complaint with the state police chief against KS Hariharan's anti-women remarks at a program organized by UDF and RMP.

Hariharan made the controversial remark while referring to the obscene video controversy in the Vadakara constituency related to the Lok Sabha elections.

"CPM cyber goons thought their ploy of making an obscene video of K K Shailaja would ensure LDF victory. Will anyone make an obscene video of K K Shailaja?' Saying this, Hariharan referred to an actress and said “People would have believed if it was some other actress” This is what became controversial.

With the misogynist remark inviting wrath in cyberspace, Hariharan quickly came up with a response and pledged forgiveness on his Facebook page. "Friends and media workers have brought to my attention that an inappropriate remark was made in a speech given in Vadakara today. I am deeply sorry for making that wrong remark," the note read.
