Chief Minister to cut short foreign trip and return to Kerala early; will arrive in state on Saturday

DUBAI: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has made changes to his previously scheduled foreign trip. According to reports, the Chief Minister, who decided to cut short his foreign trip, will return to Kerala on Saturday. The CM and family are currently in Dubai. Originally, the Chief Minister and his family were supposed to land in Dubai only on May 19.

The Chief Minister attended the cabinet meeting today online from Dubai. Earlier, it was announced that he would participate in the cabinet meeting from Singapore. The reason behind the curtailment of the Chief Minister's Singapore trip is unclear.

The state government had not convened a cabinet meeting last week. The meeting was reportedly called off as there weren't many topics to discuss. The government was unable to consider more matters in the cabinet meeting as the moral code of conduct was in place. Although the counting of votes in the Lok Sabha elections will be over on June 4, the moral code of conduct will continue till June 6.
