Youth arrested for capturing nude pictures of woman and sexually assaulting her; victim was subjected to gang-rape by accused and friends

KOLLAM: Police have arrested a youth for capturing nude pictures of a woman and subjecting her to gang rape after threatening her. The arrested person has been identified as Adinadu native Shal Krishnan (38). He is an accused in several cases including attempted murder. It was the Karunagappalli police that registered the case based on the complaint lodged by the police.

The police said that the accused sexually assaulted the woman by threatening to circulate her nude pictures that he captured from her bathroom without her knowledge. Later, the accused along with two friends barged into the woman's house at night and the three gang-raped her. The two friends of Shal Krishna are absconding. According to the police, the two are also accused in cheating, theft, narcotic and Abkari cases.

Shal Krishna was arrested by the police team led by Karunagappalli SI P Pradeep. The police said that the absconding accused will be arrested soon.
