NEW DELHI: Indian Railways' state of the art Vande Bharat sleeper trains will roll out soon. India's first Vande Bharat sleeper train will run on the Secunderabad-Pune route. Reports said the Vande Bharat sleeper trains will roll out by the end of this year itself.
The reports that came earlier mentioned that Vande Bharat's sleeper coaches will run as an alternative to Rajdhani Express. However, the new information is that the Vande Bharat sleeper train will replace the earlier Shatabdi Express on the Secunderabad-Pune route. The Shatabdi Express presently runs on Secunderabad - Pune route taking around eight hours and 30 minutes.
If the Vande Bharat sleeper train comes on this route, the travel time will be reduced by at least two hours. The passengers can also travel with more comfort. However, the timings and stops of Secunderabad-Pune Vande Bharat sleeper train have not been decided. Officials informed that they will be disclosed once the service starts.
Meantime, reports earlier surfaced that the third Vande Bharat train for Kerala would arrive soon. It was reported that the routes would be Thiruvananthapuram-Coimbatore and Kochi-Bengaluru. The hint received from the railway authorities is that the service will start from next month. Meanwhile, passengers hoped that the Vande Bharat sleeper coaches newly launched on the track will arrive in Kerala in the first phase. Vande Bharat Expresses presently running in the state are a hit. Both the trains are very profitable for the railways.
