19.4 kg of ganja found abandoned at Palakkad railway station; accused on the run

PALAKKAD: 19.4 kilograms of ganja was found abandoned in a sack at the Palakkad railway station in a joint inspection carried out by the Excise Department and the RPF. The officials have initiated an investigation to find the accused. The preliminary conclusion is that the accused might have abandoned the sack and escaped from the spot fearing the inspection.

The inspection was led by Excise Circle Inspector MF Suresh and RPF Crime Branch Intelligence Circle Inspector N Keshavadas.
Other officers who took part in the inspection are RPF Head Constable N Ashok, AEI(Grade) MN Suresh Babu and M Suresh Kumar of Palakkad Excise Circle Office, Preventive Officer Santosh KN and Civil Excise Officer K. Abhilash.
