CHENNAI: An organization in Tamil Nadu has announced that it will award a gold ring to the CISF constable who beat actress and BJP MP-elect Kangana Ranaut at the airport. The announcement was made by Thanthai Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam (TDPK), a Dravidian organization in Coimbatore. The organization has promised to give a gold ring with Periyar's image on it.
"We will send the ring to Kulwinder Kaur’s home address. If the courier services won’t accept gold ring, we will send one of our members to her home, either by train or flight, to hand over the ring along with some books about Periyar," TPDK general secretary Ku Ramakrishnan said.
Meanwhile, Punjab Kisan Congress with the support of Kulwinder Kaur came out in support of the CISF woman constable and demanded an impartial probe into the matter. Punjab Kisan Congress chief Kiranjit Singh also criticized Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for keeping mum on the incident.
