THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Malayali loco pilot Aishwarya S Menon is among the special guests who will attend the swearing-in ceremony of the third Modi government today.
Aishwarya S. Menon, who drives Vande Bharat premium trains, is a senior assistant at Chennai division. She is one of the ten loco pilots invited to the function. She a native of Moozhikulam in Angamaly.
Aishwarya joined the Railways four years ago. She completed more than 200,000 food plate hours as a pilot in various trains like Vande Bharat, Jan Shatabdi etc. Aishwarya arrived in Delhi yesterday evening. She said that it was an honor to be invited to the swearing-in ceremony. "The information was passed on by the railway officials. I didn't believe it at first. Then I became happy," Aishwarya said.
Aishwarya has worked in Chennai - Vijayawada and Chennai - Coimbatore Vandebharat Express services since the beginning of her job. She won appreciation from senior officials for her alertness and thorough knowledge of railway signalling. Surakhe Yadav, the first woman loco pilot of the Central Railway, has also been invited to the function.
