Two Vande Bharat sleeper trains for Kerala, agreement on routes 

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There are reports that two Vande Bharat sleeper trains may be allotted to Kerala. Reports hint that Kochuveli-Bengaluru and Srinagar-Kanyakumari services are likely to be available for Kerala. This is under the active consideration of the railway board.

The train to Srinagar will operate service from Kanyakumari via Konkan. This train service will be available thrice a week. Th railways are trying to start the service soon. Th manufacturing of sleeper coaches is in progress at the factory.

The construction of ten trains will be completed by December. Reports hint that the services from Kerala may start as soon as the first trains come out. Vande Bharat trains are getting good revenue in Kerala. It is indicated that this was also one of the reasons for providing sleeper trains to Kerala in the first phase.

Sleeper trains will have fully air-conditioned coaches on the model of Rajdhani trains. It will be ahead in terms of safety and convenience.

Vande Bharat Express is the flagship train of Indian Railways. Years after the service started, passengers welcomed Vande Bharat with open hands. Inspired by this, the railways are preparing to start more services in the coming years.

The second Hubballi-Dharwad Vande Bharat under the South Western Railway has brought in Rs 28 crore to the railway coffers as it completes a year. This superfast train connecting Bengaluru city and Dharwad has garnered significant support from commuters across South Karnataka and North Karnataka.

Since its inception, train travel has proved to be a real boon for passengers. The journey begins with an average of 85 per cent seats booked each day. On the return trip it will be 83 percent. Vande Bharat is also able to fill the exchequer of the railways financially.
