Pantheerankavu domestic violence case, no complaint, says woman in affidavit filed

rahul

KOZHIKODE: The victim in the Pantheerankavu domestic violence case has filed an affidavit claiming that she has no complaint in the Pantheerankavu domestic violence case. She filed the affidavit in the Kerala High Court. She had revealed yesterday that she did everything as per the instructions of her family and all the allegations levelled in the complaint were false.

The newly wedded woman came to the fore yesterday revealing that her statement that Rahul P Gopal beat her brutally demanding dowry was a lie and that she is guilty for raising the allegation. She expressed regret for her allegations. The woman disclosed through her own YouTube channel that she was forced to make such comments at the behest of her family. However, the allegations including choking me with a mobile charger cable and beating me black and blue over dowry issues were all lies. She also denied that Rahul demanded dowry.

The woman, who had gone to work in an IT company in Thiruvananthapuram last Tuesday, did not contact her family. She posted a video expressing regret yesterday when the parents were about to file a missing complaint. The parents later lodged a missing complaint with the Paravur Vadakkekara police.

The disclosure of the woman is in the case where a civil police officer is one among the accused. With this, the investigation of the case is in crisis. The woman's confidential statement was recorded earlier in the court. This is also a case in which the police were accused of being with the accused. Rahul's mother, Usha Kumari, sister Karthika, Sarath Lal of Pantheerankavu station and Rajesh Mankav were granted bail. The disclosure is at a time when efforts were being made to bring Rahul back from Germany. The SHO of Pantheerankavu Station was suspended for showing negligence in the case. Rahul and the woman got married on May 5.
