Terrorist attack in Kashmir: CRPF soldier dies in encounter; two terrorists killed

SRINAGAR: A CRPF jawan was killed in an encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua. A jawan named Kabir Das (35) died a heroic death. Two terrorists had come to a house in Kathua, pretending to be from a nearby village. There was a clash between the security forces who came here and the terrorists. Kabir Das, who was injured in the attack, succumbed to his injuries yesterday morning while undergoing treatment. Security forces killed two terrorists in the encounter. The clash continued till yesterday morning. The terrorists attacked with a US-made M-4 carbine rifle.

Two terrorists were killed in two days. Terrorists opened fire on the security forces yesterday morning, while they were searching for terrorists in the security forces' area. Terrorists were killed during the ensuing encounter. A search for terrorists is in progress in the area. Six people, including five soldiers, were injured when terrorists attacked a joint check post of police and security forces in Doda district on Tuesday night.
