KOTTAYAM: A grade sub inspector of Kottayam West Police Station, who went missing for two days, has returned. The inspector who went missing was K Rajesh (53) of Ayarkunnam Neerikad Keezhat Kalayi. He has now returned to his station. He confessed that he was under stress.

Rajesh left the station on Friday night after duty and said that he was going home on Saturday. His relatives lodged a complaint at the Ayarkunnam police after he did not return at night. The cop left in his car. However, the tower location could not be traced as his mobile phone was switched off.

Rajesh had sought leave earlier to take his sick mother to the hospital. He did not get leave following elections. He had applied for 15 days leave to his superior after the results were out. However, his authorities did not permit him leave. He was under stress for days following this. The authorities have so far not given an official explanation for it.
