"Had nothing to wear inside transparent saree": Shobana speaks about her experience during filming of Rajinikanth movie

CHENNAI: Shobana has a special place in every Malayali movie lover's heart as she is still admired for her acting and dancing. Shobana entered Malayalam cinema in the 1980s and soon secured her place in the list of leading actresses.

The actress has featured as the heroine of leading actors including Mohanlal and Mammootty. Her performance in the all-time superhit movie Manichithrathazhu brought her innumerable accolades, including the National Award.

Apart from Malayalam, Shobana has very impressive career in Tamil and Telugu. Now the actress is trending on social media after sharing a story during the shooting of Rajinikanth starrer 'Siva'. The actor praised Rajinikanth and said he is a very decent individual. The actor said that a rain sequence was the first scene she shot in the movie, which she still remembers till this day.

"I wore a transparent white saree in this scene. But I was not given anything else to wear inside and I asked about it right there on the set. There was no time to go back home or go out to sort it out in time as everyone was ready to shoot the scene. At the

time, I felt as if it is a premeditated murder," Sobhana said.

"But I had a responsibility to the big production.There was a plastic table cloth at the AVM studio where the shoot was taking place, which I took and wore under my underskirt. When the shoot started, Rajini sir took me in his hand and he heard the sound of plastic. I still remembers the look on his face at that time and I felt scared. But till this day, he did not tell anyone about it," Sobhana added.
