PALAKKAD: Shafi Parambil on Sunday asked the government to accept the fact that Kerala does not have enough Plus One seats and should pay attention to providing education by reducing lavishness. "It is not right to portray the struggling students in bad light. Government should not consider the Plus One seat crisis as a seasonal issue. The children are struggling ever year to study," Shafi said.

Shafi Parambil said that an young leader will become the voice for the people as a UDF candidate in the Palakkad Assembly by-election. Shafi Parambil also stated that the candidate will be announced soon after the official discussions. "A young leader who stands with the problems of the people of Palakkad and development will come," he said.

The Vadakara MP said that he will clarify his opinion at the party forum when the candidate discussions officially begin. "In the 2019 parliamentary elections and the 2021 assembly elections, the UDF came out on top in the Palakkad assembly constituency. The people of Palakkad have been giving us good support in successive elections. We don't underestimate it," Shafi added.
