'Either reinstate or dismiss me'; KSRTC driver Yadhu writes to transport minister

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KSRTC driver Yadhu, who got into a skirmish with the Thiruvananthapuram Mayor, filed a complaint with the transport minister demanding reinstatement into KSRTC. In the complaint, Yadhu asked the minister to either reinstate or dismiss him from service but not drag the decision to ambiguity.

Yadhu was suspended from his job following a dispute with Thiruvananthapuram Mayor Arya Rajendran. After the mayor's complaint, the department took Yadhu off from duty.

In April, an altercation occurred between the mayor and the KSRTC bus driver at Palayam in Thiruvananthapuram over the bus driver, not allowing space for the Mayor’s car to pass through. Police registered a case against Yadhu on Arya Rajendran's complaint while Yadhu also filed a complaint with Police saying that the city mayor disrupted his official duty. A case was filed against the mayor, her husband Sachin Dev MLA and five people.

Yadhu now alleges bias from police as he said the police are hasty to go ahead only with the case filed by Mayor Arya Rajendran while turning a blind eye to his case against the mayor.
