Missing since one week, body found buried near lake two arrested in Vignesh murder case

CHENNAI: Two friends have been arrested in the case of killing Vignesh (26). Viswanathan (23) and Dilkush Kumar (22), a native of Bihar, were arrested by the police. Along with them, another minor accused is also in police custody.

Vignesh, an IT company employee, was missing for the past one week. The family had lodged a complaint with the police. The accused were arrested during the investigation conducted by the Maraimalai police. He was interrogated when it was found that the last call to Vignesh's mobile phone was Viswanathan. He initially denied the crime but later confessed.

Vignesh, Viswanathan and Dilkush Kumar were drinking alcohol together. An argument occurred between Vignesh and Dilkush Kumar. Meanwhile, Vignesh beat up Dilkush Kumar. Due to this rivalry, Viswanathan and Dilkush Kumar planned to kill Vignesh. He was stabbed to death after being summoned for drinking. The body was then buried on the bank of the lake in Maraimalai Nagar.
