Supplyco's 50th anniversary: Discounts on 50 products and subsidies on 13 items boost sales

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: About 50 products with discount and 13 products with subsidy are being available in the Supplyco shops on the 50th year of Supplyco.

Since the last 25, there has been progress since the fiftieth anniversary trade started. Daily sales increased from 2.5 lakhs to 5.2 lakhs. Earlier it was 11 lakhs. Although the project has been started, the goods have not been fully delivered. This is because old suppliers have not renewed their contracts. It is because of the publicity that they are not getting paid on time. The government's efforts to resolve the issues through assurances and negotiations are showing results. As many as nine items have been delivered in many districts. Sugar will also be delivered in three districts within a few days.

All the goods will be delivered immediately and from this time Supplyco will be fully equipped and start working as before. The move to increase prices of subsidized products has created confidence in out-of-state suppliers. An attempt is made to make new contracts by taking advantage of it.

Annual offers

The reduction in prices has led to an increase in the trade of non-subsidized goods. In addition to the existing price reduction, an additional 10 percent discount is given under the scheme from the bill amount of the consumers who purchase non-subsidized products.

50 popular products including Supplyco's own brand Sabari products and other daily necessities are being offered at discounted prices and special offers. Through this, Sabari Hotel Blend Tea priced at Rs 300 will be provided at Rs 270 per kg and 250 grams of Sabari Leaf Tea will be provided free of charge. Various brands of washing powders and detergents like Ujala, Henco, Sun Plus etc. are also available at discounted prices. Public can buy goods at a special discount from 2 pm to 3 pm at Supplyco Super Markets and Hyper Markets.
