While giving an interview as part of the promotion of his latest film Gaganachari, Suresh Gopi's son and actor Gokul Suresh spoke about his father and the inspiration he draws from him. He said that Suresh Gopi never did anything to motivate his children.

"My father used to tell me to learn about his life and take inspiration from it. I got inspiration from my father by watching him," he said.

Gokul Suresh said that Suresh Gopi is impartial. "He works without bias in any matter, including caste, religion, politics etc. If a problem and the people are genuine, my father will help them. If it is not possible to do it politically, at least he will try to do it personally," Gokul said.

"He will help beyond the money he makes. If he is doing all this expecting something good, I would have felt better. He'll tell us not to tell about his activities to anyone. I've never felt so good watching this. Because I personally feel the setbacks associated with all that," he said.

"I don't react to every comments and trolls. I react to those comments that are very cruel. My father might be thinking that he's above all this, it doesn't affect him at all, and that those barking may continue doing it. I'm not that big, I'm a commoner like all the people who make these comments. I feel like giving sharp replies. Sometimes I feels like facing them at their home. If I do that, the media will make me a bad person," Gokul Suresh added.
