'I was asked to spend time with the director, threatened to jeopardize my career'

Divyanka Tripathi, a prominent actress in Bollywood and the television industry, has recently opened up about a challenging experience early in her career that has garnered attention. In an interview with Bubble, she disclosed facing difficulties and unpleasant encounters as a newcomer.

"I had a tough time financially. During that period, I received an offer for a show, but it came with a condition that I spend time with the director for a significant career boost. Such individuals often manipulate newcomers, claiming this behaviour is commonplace in the industry," Tripathi revealed.

She further explained that she was threatened that refusing the demand could jeopardize her career. Despite the pressure, Tripathi remained steadfast in her principles and declined the offer, choosing to rely on her talents rather than compromise her integrity.
