ALAPPUZHA: The investigation team has intensified the inspection to find the remains of the dead body in the Mannar Kala murder case. The woman's thigh and leg bones and the skull were not recovered from the septic tank. As part of finding these, the police will search whether there are any constructions in the area near the house of Kala's husband Anil Kumar, the first accused in the case.

Anil is presently in Israel. It is reported that there will be a delay in bringing him home. A clarity will be obtained only if Anil is interrogated in detail. The investigation team is recording the statements of the local residents.

Kala's relatives claim that Anil's family is also involved in the murder. Kala's brother has lodged a complaint with the district police chief demanding that they be taken into custody, interrogated and arraigned. Anil's parents and family members are likely to be detained and interrogated to find the place where the body was dumped and people who helped him.

It was revealed from the suspects in custody that the septic tank of Anil's house, where the body is suspected to have been dumped, was cleaned twice in 15 years. The next challenge is to find out where the remains of the tank were dumped.

The case is being investigated by a 21-member team led by Chengannur DySP K N Rajesh. The investigators believe that there was a major conspiracy and the involvement of more people in the incident since the body was disposed of so expertly that it could not be found.
