Veteran director Kamal is a director who has gifted several memorable films to the Malayalees. In a recent interview given to Kaumudy Movies, Kamal shared an interesting experience while shooting the film 'Thoovalsparsham'.

"'Thoovalsparsham' had four heroes and a baby in the lead roles. We shot the film at a time when apartment culture was beginning in Kerala. The film was about the entry of a six-month-old baby into the lives of three bachelors living in a flat. The story primarily revolves around the child. As the child was just six months old, it was impossible to make her act. Hence, we will shoot while the child is sleeping. Everyone in the set spoke through sign language to make sure that the child did not wake up hearing the noise," Kamal said.

"We wanted the child to cry to cry in one scene. But no matter how hard we tried, we were unable to get her to cry. She kept on smiling looking at everyone. After some time, Jayaram came to me and said, 'I'll make the child. But you should not ask me how I made her cry.' We immediately made the necessary arrangements to shoot the scene. Jayaram then went near the child and whispered something in her ear. The child immediately started crying. Although we asked him what he had told the child, Jayaram did not tell us anything. Later, he came to me and said, 'I did not say anything. I just pinched her with my nails.' I felt sad hearing that. But that's how cinema works," Kamal said.
