KOCHI: The police said the incident in which a family of four was charred to death in Angamaly, is a suicide. The police confirmed that petrol cans were kept in the room where fire broke out. The police got the CCTV visuals of Bineesh buying petrol. Following an investigation, the police came to the conclusion that the family may have committed suicide.

After the fire, a forensic team conducted an inspection at the spot. The police also confirmed that Bineesh, who was a dealer in Angamaly, had severe financial liabilities.

Four people were found charred to death on early morning of June 8 at Angadikadavu in Angamaly. The dead were Bineesh (45), his wife Anumol Mathew (40), their children Jovana (8) and Jaswin (5). Bineesh's mother Chinnamma, who was sleeping downstairs, saw the fire first in their room. When she created a ruckus, the locals came and doused the flames. By then, all four were dead.

The police had doubts as how the fire broke out only in their room upstairs. In an investigation conducted, the police got crucial information to come to the conclusion that the family may have committed suicide.
