Kerala Kaumudi leads in credibility: Governor Arif Mohammed Khan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Governor Arif Mohammed Khan said that the role of Kerala Kaumudi, which continues positive journalism, is very important in maintaining the credibility of the media in this era of fake news and narratives. The governor said that Kerala Kaumudi has brought out many news that can shed light on the future hopes of society and humanity.

He was inaugurating the Legacy Makers award ceremony, as part of the 113th anniversary celebrations of Kerala Kaumudi, which honours the talents who have left their mark in various fields. The Governor said that Kerala Kaumudi has remained a sphere of light for the common people and for the education rights of the underprivileged just like the meaning of 'Kaumudi', the moon. "The media should realize that fake news is cheap and true journalism is expensive. Any act that lowers the quality of journalism is harmful to the health of democracy," he pointed out.

VK Prashant MLA presided over the function held at Hotel Apollo Dimora. Kerala Kaumudi Joint Managing Director Darshan Ravi felicitated the Governor with a gift.
